He spends much of his time mentoring and undertaking workshops for entrepreneurs, businesses, and students to develop their leadership abilities, talents and creativity.
A Senior Consultant at Crimson Education, formerly CEO of Clovely Estate, member of the Board of EmSolutions, and Dean (External Relations) at Queensland University of Technology. From New Zealand, he held positions at the University of Otago including Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Business), Dean (School of Business), Dean (Faculty of Consumer and Applied Science), Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing and Professor of Food Science.
Professor Buisson’s diverse background includes a PhD in chemistry from the University of Auckland as well as an SM (Management) as a Sloan Fellow from, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has a powerful mix of expertise and experience across the disciplines of science, business, manufacturing and marketing and has consulted widely and advised many leading public and private organisations in innovation, international marketing and new product development. David is a strong advocate for the key role of ‘design’ as a powerhouse for innovation and people development across business and education. He is passionate about thinking outside the box, or indeed inventing a brand new box.

Oli and his Crimson team made it work. Crimson saved us a lot of useless expenditure of effort – such as guiding us around overseas student acceptance possibilities at certain US universities. Whilst we did feel a little overwhelmed, we trusted that, having guided other students before, Oliver would be in good hands with Crimson.
Not long after Crimson visited our school we booked a meeting with one of their academic advisors. I was so glad we started early because when we met, my dad and I realised how much there was to do.
