Why Are Crimson
Oxford and Cambridge have always enjoyed a fierce reputation for academic excellence. Each year, they attract thousands of students who are hoping to win a coveted place on one of the many distinguished courses, such as Computer Science, PPE or Natural Sciences.

However, as the volume of applications across both universities has increased, so too has the level of competition; especially for the most popular courses.

Oxford saw 23,000 applications in 2020 for only 3,300 places and Cambridge saw a 5.5% increase in the number of applications compared to last year and only increased their number of offers by 0.3%!

Even with annual fees between £26,770 and £37,510 they still see countless students from the EU applying and the competition is fierce!

Crimson has helped hundreds of students to fulfil their dreams of gaining admission to Oxbridge. Join Former Oxford Admissions Officer, Hannah Rowberry as she demystifies the application process and shares tips on how you can improve your chance of success of getting on to the most competitive courses.

I already knew how to get good grades and test scores, but it wasn’t until I met with my strategist sophomore year that I realized the importance of extracurriculars. I had just been in school clubs and varsity sports, but was able to start working on a non-profit that we integrated heavily in my application to Harvard.
