What Californian universities can offer!
Why Are Crimson

When looking at university, many ambitious students turn their sights to the US - and one of the most popular destinations is California! This is not surprising as in the south of the San Francisco Bay Area lies Silicon Valley, the global centre for high technology and innovation. Home to many of the world's largest high-tech corporations, including the headquarters of more than 30 businesses in the Fortune 1000, and thousands of startup companies.

Because of that California is home to some of the best universities in the world, including Stanford, UC Berkeley and Caltech. If that doesn't entice you, the year-round sunshine will!

However, gaining entry to these fiercely competitive universities is not easy! So if your sights are set on one of these top universities, you will need to submit a stand-out application - especially as an international student! The question is, what makes a stand-out application and where should you start?

For this webinar, we have invited Crimson Strategist & UC Berkeley Alumna, Laila and Stanford Acceptee, Adam to take us through what these universities are looking for and how you can stand out from the crowd.

Laila Soudi

She is also the Founder and Director of Sana Relief, a program at Stanford University School of Medicine focused on health research and implementation in the MENA region. With Crimson, Laila works as a strategist, providing personalised blueprints for success in US college admissions.
Adam B

Stanford Acceptee

Irish student Adam has always been passionate about computer science and was an active member of his school science society. This was where he built a project on Call Centre dashboards which performed well in national science competitions. Crimson helped Adam build on his strong foundation to refine and express his candidacy in his applications to a range of Ivy League schools, and he did not hesitate to accept one from Stanford!

I already knew how to get good grades and test scores, but it wasn’t until I met with my strategist sophomore year that I realized the importance of extracurriculars. I had just been in school clubs and varsity sports, but was able to start working on a non-profit that we integrated heavily in my application to Harvard.
