Four key reasons for choosing the US
Flexible curriculum

The liberal arts curriculum allows students to take classes in multiple fields of study and they don't need to choose their major until their second year ensuring more decision time.

Graduate salaries

Salaries for US university graduates tend to be much higher than those in the UK. For example, Princeton graduates earn an average of $90,700 (£66,490) whereas the average salary of an Oxford Business graduate is £41,500.

Extracurricular opportunities

US universities have thousands of societies and clubs for students to be a part of and enrich their college experience. Many universities compete in national and international sporting competitions like the Olympics. For example, Stanford has won 270 Olympic medals!

Faculty exposure

Most top US universities have a strong undergraduate focus and therefore students get 1-1 time with their professors that in the UK are reserved for post-graduate students.

The battle of two STEM heavyweights!

Why Are Crimson

MIT and Cambridge University are world-renowned for their strengths in STEM subjects. Both universities hold the #1 spot in their respective countries - making the decision between them very difficult!

Both universities are extremely popular - and for good reason! MIT announced a 66% increase in applications for the Class of 2025 and just under 20,000 applications were received by the Cambridge University admissions office with Natural Sciences and Engineering being the two most popular courses.

We settled this argument once and for all! We had a representative from each side battle it out to leave you with one question; will you be UK-bound or heading state-side?

“My essay mentor Alan was amazing. Prior to me actually choosing potential topics and writing them down, Alan had loads of meetings with me online, where we discussed all my extracurriculars, life experience and a never-ending stream of other topics before deciding what my essays should be."
